Project Description

The Underground Cable Replacement Program is responsible for replacing over 300 miles of City Light underground and direct-buried infrastructure. These facilities are beyond their useful life and are causing customer disruptions across our service area.

Our program focuses on strategically and systematically replacing these facilities with the appropriate solution for each unique area. These solutions may range from traditional duct bank replacement to micro trenching and direct boring.

City Light’s focus during each of these replacements will be on the needs of our customers, as well as building a sustainable underground system for the future of our service area.
