Community Supportive Space

Duwamish Valley Affordable Housing Coalition

This last year, the Office of Planning & Community Development (OPCD) secured $500,000 to support the ongoing work of Duwamish Valley Affordable Housing Coalition. In particular, the money was used to support the conceptual design of a multi-purpose building on the Unity Electric Site, which is part of the Resilience District work. This multi-purpose building would support affordable community-supportive nonprofit spaces.

The Office of Housing entered into a purchase and sale agreement on two adjacent properties in South Park. They expect to complete the acquisition in the first half of 2022.
