Summer 2023
Soundview Playfield Renovation – RESTARTED – 2020 Hold Removed At Permit Renewal & 100% Bid Intake
In the summer of 2020, the City of Seattle turned its focus to essential functions to address the pandemic and economic crisis, which required a significant reprioritization of resources. Seattle Parks and Recreation suspended some capital project work including this project.
This project is a conversion of an existing natural turf playfield to an all-season multi-sport synthetic turf playfield with lights and associated accessible pathways and park amenities.
Over the next year we will be updating the prior 100% bid documents, re-estimate of engineers construction cost estimate, renewal of construction/drainage permit, and messaging community and playfield stakeholders.
