Timeline

November 2, 2024: Ordinance 127100, the SDCI Design Review Exemption Ordinance  became effective. See the Design Review Exemptions webpage.

October 3, 2024: Mayor Bruce A. Harrell, signed Ordinance 127100, the SDCI Design Review Exemption Ordinance

September 18, 2024: the Land Use Committee discussed and voted to approve this proposal.

September 24, 2024: the full City Council approved the bill.

August 20, 2024: SDCI presented the proposal to a group of Design Review board members that were invited to listen and discuss the proposal. View the notes from that meeting.

July 10, 2024: SDCI sent the Design Review proposal to the City Council Land Use Committee for their review. The proposal is identified as Council Bill 120824.

July 5, 2024: The proposed Design Review Exemption also includes includes a SEPA addendum, which discusses potential environmental impacts related to a few of the updated proposal details. The SEPA comment period for the addendum ended on.

April 18, 2024: SDCI published a SEPA notice and Determination of Non-Significance for our interim Design Review Exemption proposal. No appeal of this SEPA determination was filed.
