The Seattle Department OEEI Transportation’s (SDOT) goal is to collaborate with communities to develop a transportation system that honors a variety of perspectives. OEEI is responsible for the strategic vision and leadership in planning, promoting, and advancing fairness and belonging, and upholding civil rights. Our work is grounded in the City’s Workplace Values. Through our programs and policies, we guide SDOT towards measurable improvements. 

What We Do:

OEEI operates within SDOT to oversee and connect the work of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Title VI, WMBE (Women and Minority Business Enterprises), Transportation Equity Program, and the Race and Social Justice Ordinance, and through community partnerships. We provide strategic leadership and direction to ensure that we are maximizing institutional preferencing goals and compliance.
